Mr. M. H. Darley Died Wednesday Night
Mr. M. H. Darley, one of the best known citizens of Montgomery county, died at his home two miles north of Ailey Wednesday night, following an extended illness.
Mr. Darley is survived by his wife only, his daughter having died several years ago.He was a man of quiet manners and esteemed by a large circle of friends throughout the county.He was always interested in the affairs of the county and labored for its welfare.
He was a member of the Masonic order and the Odd Fellows, and observed in his daily life the exalted principles enunciatedtherein.He was a member of the Methodist church, recognized for his piety and high standard of living.
Funeral services will be held this ( Friday ) afternoon, conducted by his pastor, Rev. L. E. Brady, at three o’clock, and interment will be in the Ferguson cemetery.The Odd Fellows will conduct a ritualistic service at the grave.
