To date there are three Darlingtons who have taken a Y-DNA test with interesting results. Each result has shown that their deep ancestry is very diverse. Although this is not unusual in early Y-DNA it does allow people looking for links to ancestors the chance to focus on different groups of Darlington clans. Y-DNA can point you in the right direction and put you in touch with Darlingtons that have a direct link with the ancestors you are trying to locat as have many people done to date. (See www.familytreedna.com, www.y-search.org etc What is needed is for male Darlingtons who can trace their ancestry back to Cheshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire, and London of the UK Ireland, as well as Pennsylvania USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand to undertake the Y-DNA test. cheapest option is https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/index.html
