I am a descendant of Joseph through his son Joel, like this:
I.Joseph Darcy II.Joel Darsey III.John Darsey (m. Jane English) IV.James Anders Darsey (m. Nancy Carter) V.William Robinson Darsey (m. Aurelian Daughtery) VI.John Q. A. Darsey (m. Elizabeth Perkins) VII.Mildred Norine Darsey (m. Foster Geisendorff) VIII. Marian Pauline Geisendorff (m. Clarence Prasatik) IX.Ronald William Prasatik (m. Marsha Warner) X.Joseph Seth Prasatik-Warner
There is good information on these Darsey's in a series of books by Judge Huxton in the 1950s called "Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia", in which he mentions a lady in Savannah whose DAR papers reference the Revolutionary War service of Joseph and Joel.
My ancestor "V." above came to Texas from Georgia after the Civil War, but remained in contact with his Georgia family. We have original letters from James Anders Darsey with the header "Darcys Plantation", although they actually lived on the Carter place inherited through Mrs. Darsey.
Other Darsey branches came to our area of East Texas, and we have a number of reasearchers in the area, as well as some well-preserved family homes.
What sort of information are your looking for? Best, Joseph
