Hello,A Daubenspeck came in 1736 to Pennsylvania. He produced a family and down through the years we seem large to you but the family name is not that common. Later there was another Daubenspeck who is to have come. I don't speak German but I am assuing that you Fishcein is the area we call Freisheim, Palatinate area of Germany. In the town there are two churchs. The one that when you go out the back door of the church there is a small lane that goes to the center of the town. This church is where Johan Jacob Daubenspeck was born in 1714/15 and his parents were married in 1708.Johann George Daubenspeck (1670-1743) and Anna Dorothea Wylly (1670-1726)
he name is to mean "smoke" and "pig"I am assuming and could be wrong that the original Daubenspeck might have had a smoke house for pigs.
