He could be a son of William T. Davi(d)son b: abt 1784 NC and died Polk Co, MO about 1844.Another son was Armstrong Tilford Davison b: abt 1811 Maury Co, TN.They also lived in Roane Co, TN, and Union Co, IL according to a bookk "Opening the Ozarks - First Families in Southwest Missouri 1835-1839", by Marsha Hoffman Rising.The elder William T. Davi(d)son was in the Polk County area very early and is listed in records for the two parent counties -- Crawford County for the 1830 census and for 1833 tax lists for Greene County.Then when Polk County was formed in 1835, he is listed there.
