Kenneth Harlan Dean, 73, of West Sevier Heights, Greeneville,
Greene Co TN, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at
his home. He was born June 13, 1938.
He had worked in auto parts sales.
Mr. Dean was a member of Faith Temple Church.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great
He was the son of the late John Harlan and Cleo Graham
Dean; and was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy
Dean and Billy Dean; and a sister, JoAnn Murdock.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nancy Dean;
daughter and son-in-law, Debra and William Collins, of
Whitesburg, TN; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby
Dean, of Greeneville, TN, and David and Brenda Dean, of
Russellville, TN; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Dean,
Nikki Russell and husband Shaun, Chris Hancock, and
Kenneth Hancock and wife Rachel; four great granddaughters;
two great grandsons; two sisters and a brother-in-law,
Juanita Harrison, of Greeneville, TN, and Lena and Richard
Jones, of Mosheim, TN; three brothers and two sisters-in-
law, Johnny Dean, of IL, Donald and Mable Dean, and Roy
Merle and Kathy Dean, all of Greeneville, TN; two sisters-
in-law, Jeanetta Dean and Betty Dean, both of Greeneville,
TN; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends
including, Gary and Patricia Rader.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the
staff of Caris Healthcare and to the staff on 4 east at
Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Tuesday,
October 12, 2011, and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.,
Wednesday, October 13, 2011, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral
The funeral service will be held at 2p.m., Thursday,
October 13, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev.
Tommy Collins and Rev. Lynn Mercer will officiate.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery (Snapps Ferry
Road). Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary
pallbearers will be Dr. Sonja Woods, Dr. Mandeep Bakshi,
Dr. Andy Roberts, Dr. James Swenson, Dr. Steven Prince,
and Dr. Rodney Holladay, and his fishing buddies.
