If I were you, I would try going through a library which has Inter-Library Loan services. The DEATS FAMILIES by
Edwin R. Deats (1973) contains information on TEATS,
TEETS, DATES, DEETS, DIETZ, and DEITSin addition to the full 5 generations of DEATS.

Additional generation were compiled but were not contained in Edwin's early publication of 1973.

In answer to your direct question re: Henry Deats---No.
Henry Deats remained Deats and his first wife was Eleanor Nelly.
They made their home in Hillsborough Twp., Somserset, New Jersey.

His line can be followed down and the name remains DEATS.

Henry was born in 1758 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
He moved to Somerset County, and in 1776 entered the military service for the American Revolution.

His second wife was Alice Rynearson born in 1779.
They made their home in Hamilton County, Ohio.
Both died there and are buried in the Laboyteaux Cemetery there.
