While this is not my direct line, I have come across lots of bits and pieces on this family.I have a fair amt. of info downloaded from a contribution to Worldconnect by Linda L. Mott ([email protected])She lists 9 children but only has further info on the lst child Richard and his family. She lists Richard, Grace, Kesiah, Antil, Elizabeth, Mary , Hannah, Thomas, and Samuel.
I also came across a Maryland Will Of John Deaver of Baltimore County, 3rd Jan 1731-2; 8th March 1731.In it it says:
To my son Richard and hrs.,(heirs) pt. (part) of "Turkey's Hills"; said, land to begin at land boundary of testator by Richard Ruff, to run NW until it intersects land bounded by Benjamin Jones, to run with said land until it intersects "Come by Chance."In case said son will not accept of above bequest in full satisfaction for tract bound. by him, afsd. land to be sold and the proceeds to be paid to said Richard or hrs. for satisfation for afsd. land"Broken Islands."
To son Samuel and heirs, all other lands, with dwell, plan, ---, at decease of his mother Hannah' said son dying without issue, said lands to be divided between daughters Elizabeth Preston and Mary and their heirs.
To sons Richard, John and Antill, 1s each
(I believe that is 1 sovereign).
To wife Hannah, executrix, residue of personal estate during life' at her decease to be divided among 3 children, Samuel, Elizabeth Preston and Mary.
Testator: John Wagstafe, John Wagstaff, Ann Tredway (Treadway), Thomas Brasier (Brazer. 20.352
This will is on Ancestry.com under the Database "Maryland Calendar of Wills"
Everything I find also lists Hannah as Hannah Bell.
John Was born abt 1657 and died 21 Jan 1730 in Maryland.
His parents are Richard Wilmont Dever/Deaver
and Grace Fitzmorris.I haven't gone to much further into this family as I said, because they are not my line but I can give you more background of counties and states I am finding John's family as well as mine. It is easy to get mixed up if you are not careful because the family names are used repeatedly and many mistakes have been made.Good Luck!
