I have no direct proof, but I believe you are correct in assuming that Mary A.(Deberry)Moses was one of the daughters of the Lemuel Deberry who lived in DeSoto County, Mississippi, in 1850, about whom I have some information. This belief is based on the known movements of that Lemuel and his family. As far as I know, he didn't have a middle name."Lemuel" was often misspelled "Lamuel", which was misread as "Samuel". He was my ggg-uncle.
This Lemuel Deberry was born in Montgomery Co, NC, ca. 1788, to Henry and Sarah Dumas Deberry, and married Elizabeth "Betsy" Wilson, also born in that county. After suffering some financial reverses, he started moving west---first to Henderson Co, TN, then to nearby DeSoto Co, MS, then to Gonzales Co, TX, where the last date that I know he was alive was in 1857. Many of his relatives were in Ouachita Co, Arkansas. It's possible that he went through there, too.
In addition to the Census records that trace these movements, there are letters from him and his brother-in-law (John?) Wilson to relatives back home in Montgomery Co, NC, which are on microfilm at the NC Archives. I'm in a hurry and doing this from memory, but if you'd like more details, please write me firstname.lastname@example.org
