William A. Debord is his brother, William Alexander Debord (1842-1922), husband of Sarah Angeline Elder. I couldn't find Wm in the Index, but here are other sources that proved he did serve. From Confederate Service Index William De Bord served in Co I 39 Georgia Inf as corporal.From Confederate Pension Records in GA, W. A. Debord filed for service in Co I 39th GA; and Sarah A. Debord filed as widow of William A. Debord for servive in Co I 39th GA. DeBord, William A. -- 3rd Corporal - March 4, 1862. Appointed 1st Corporal October 1863. Captured at Nashville, Tennessee December 17, 1864. Paroled at Camp Chase, Ohio, and sent to New Orleans, Lousiana, for exchange May 2, 1865. Received at Vicksburg, Mississippi May 12, 1865.
