From what I can find out, John Eaken DeBusk was my great great grandfather. His daughter, Elizabeth, married Calvin Hounshell. I can find only one child. My paternal grandmother, Florence Belle. In 1904, she married Andrew Jackson Garrison. The were married in Keokee, Lee County, Virginia. Both had been married 2 times, but in their union, there were at least 6 children. Daniel (wife Edith), Everett (wife Moilee, my father) Opal (husband Roy Hensley) Martha (husband John Herbert Terry), and Luke (wife Ida). Florence also had been married to a Thomas Harris, and they had a son, but I do not have a name.
When I was a teenager, one of my uncles talked about his grandmother (Maw Maw, Elizabeth, I assume) Used to make him native american toys to play with. He said she was a Cherokee. And all pictures of my father's family they look very much like native Americans. Does anyone know if there is a connection? All of my father's immediate family have passed away, so I have no one to go to for answers. Would appreciate any help.
