In the early days of Castile the two most powerful families were the de Castro and Lara families. Two distinct branches some how formed one Catholic and the other Jewish. The families were initially arch rivals but there are well documented cases back to the early days when the families intermarried. With the jewish de Castros who ended up in London in the 1700's there were two cases where these families married and I am certain there would be many more examples. Inez is a not uncommon name within both. In you case it would seem that the process continues. Both have interesting backgrouns and there is much research going on into both in both their original catholic line and the jewish one. The english fammily became the Titled Massey Family probably due to their sugar interests in the West Indies. (jewish branch that is) Naturally over time these families embrace every religion but it is an interesting past time tracing them back.
