Hello there Anne, thank you for coming back on this. Based on your info, while the names certainly line up I couldn't get the dates to match initially. My ggg-grandfather was Patrick Deegan but I don't have a definitive birth date for him. His son, and my gg-grandfather, James Deegan was born in 1867 and married (for first time) in 1894 and (for second time) in 1909. He had two sons named James - one by each marriage. The eldest was born in 1900 while the other was born in 1910. So no date matches there. However, when I look back to my ggg-grandfather Patrick, I believe he had two other children (in addition to my gg-grandfather James) - these were Patrick, born 1861 and died 1898, and Christine, born 1862 and died 1879. I wonder could this Patrick Deegan - my gg-granduncle have been your gg-grandfather?? I don't have location information for either Patrick from birth, but I know my gg-granduncle is buried in Glasnevin. I'm not sure whether he was married - do you know his wife's name or maiden name? A long shot maybe but what do you think?
