Now having said that, my co-author of the Deem Book lists the following information and documentation:
Some German church records that we found have baptim, marriage, death, etc. for Diehm's and Breuing Families. We found the marriage of JOHAN MARX BRUEINIG AND MARIA CATHARINA MUNDT on October 22, 1740.Their certificates reads:JOHAN MARX BREUING, SON OF JOHANNES OF WALDMICHELBACK MIT (with) MARIA CATHARINA MUNDT DAUGHTER OF JOHANNES MUNDLIN OF SIEDELBRUNN.
There were three children born to the Brueinigs. The first was Anna Elizabeth, baptized March 20, 1743, sponsored by Anna Elizabeth Walters, the frau of Adam Walters. The second was Johan Peter, baptiszed 1744, sponsored by Peter Oeschlager, and the third was, Johan Adam, was baptised on February 7, 1751, sponsored by Adam Oeschlager.
We go on to write:Johan Diehm and Marx Brueinig must have been very clost friends or related in some way. They grew up together, atending the same schools and church. They probably seved together in the German army, which was mandatory rite of passage for young German men.
