I need some information that will tie my husband, James Christopher Oliver to the Tscharner de Graffenried family.I have some documents of the history of the Oliver family tree and it goes back through his grandmother Anna Evelyn Hobson who's relative who fought in the Revolutionary war was Nickolas Hobson who married a (Sarah?)Degraftenreid, she had a bother who lived in Chester County, South Carolina. One of their children married a Sisely Thomas, daughter of Col. John Thomas. They had started out in Virgina but the Revolutionary war made them move on and Nikolas was granted 4000 acres in Green County, Alabama.Nickolas Hobson's children with ? Degraftenried were: Frank, Archible, Mathew, William, Agnes and Missouria.I know my husband is related to the landgrave that settled New Bern.I would love to have a clear picture of it, I saw a very old family tree from one of his great Aunt Hobson's.I would love to come to New Bern and Switzerland sometime if we can figure this out.Any help is appreciated.
