The listing Re: William C.DeGraw is incomplete. I accidently posted it prematurely. It should read: William C.(Cooley?)DeGraw was a prisoner of the Confederacy at Andersonville Prison, Andersonville Georgia. He died of a disease contracted while a prisoner on or about the day he was to be exchanged for a Confederate prisioner of the North. Undocumented information indicates the he was captured at the Battle Of Wilderness. He was a member of the 2nd Regiment of the New Jersey infantry on a roll dated February 25, 1864.
He was my Great Grandfather. He and his wife, Mary Jane DeGraw were residents of Wyoming County Pennsylvania at the time of his enlistment. Anyone having substantual or unsubstantuated information please respond to this message.
