This was not a garage sale, but a reputable antique shop. The Bible was no where to be found. Being a genealogist for over 30 years has taught me to look for the "source" at all times. There was no Bible. The pages were between two books, neither of which led me to believe they belonged to the DeHaas, etc. families or I would have "rescued" them as well.
I have no idea if the pages were actually returned to the DeHaas family. I was contacted by someone with interest in them and sent the pages to them. They were in my possession for over 1 year without being claimed after numerous attempts to locate the owners. It was happy to see that someone wanted them. There was no reference to an area, so the "museum" could not be contacted.
