Hello My name is Joseph De Luca, what I am trying to do is find more information on my late grandfather(Joseph De Luca)& grandmother(Mary De Luca). Here is what I have found on my grandfather doing some hard research on my own: Joe was born on September 6, 1926 in Montesarchio, Italy and was the son of the late Pasquale and Maria Grazia (Tangredi) DeLuca. Joe worked as a general mechanic at the office of children and family services in Albany. Prior to working for the state, he was a general contractor, building homes in the local area for over 40 years. He enjoyed horse racing, casino gambling and playing cards. He once owned a race horse named Tailsyoulose. Joe is survived by his son, Eugene (Peggy) DeLuca of Kissimmee, Fla.; his daughter, Mary Grace (David) Sullivan of Loudonville; his grandchildren, Joseph and Mark DeLuca and William Sullivan; his brother, Armando (Juanita) DeLuca of Albany; his sisters, Rosa (John) Tirino of Colonie and Mafalda (Salvatore) Fazio of Albany; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Damiano) DeLuca; a brother, Salvatore DeLuca; and two sisters, Yolanda Bernadi and Emelia Russo.
If anyone can please help me out on this I would be so happy, there is a lot I have learned on my own that makes me think sometimes. My Grandfather Joseph De Luca is a great man and well know in Albany NY, he passed away in September 13, 2005 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He taught me all that I know and means the world to me, and with my 40th Birthday coming up this forum may help more.
Thank you so much for any help. You may contact me or leave any notes possible, if need more information on how to contact me direct please inform of that and I will do just that.
