I wanted to share with fellow researchers, my mother's obituary. She was a wonderful lady who worked hard for her children. She had 5 children total, the first being still born; it was a boy, and she named him "Joey".I took care of my mother after my stepfather died, until a month before her death. She lived with me for 8 months before her death, and then moved into Hospice 4 miles away to spend her last days.I miss her terribly, there's no words to describe how I feel. It's a part of me I'll never get back, but one I never will forget.
Connie Marie Demarest, descendant of David Des' Marets, first married to Jimmy Byron Collins Sr. (my father)in Louisiana, year ?, then married J.D.Fortenberry in Mississippi. She lived the remainder of her life in Mississippi and died in Madden, Leake County, MS.She and Jimmy had 5 children together:
Joey Collins (stillborn)
Jimmy Byron Collins Sr. (living)
Warren Virgil Collins (living)
Kevin Wayne Collins (living)(faternal twin of Shelly)
Shelly Lynn Collins/Belk (living, self)
Please treat this obit with the deepest respect, this has been recent.Being a fellow researcher, I know the power of obits.Have a wonderful day to all.
