Dendy/Chatham/Gunn & Shellnut AL & GA Looking

I have seeking to trace my family back as far as I can. I am told they were from England and/or Scotland. My mother is Flora Ahrens Dendy, living in MO. She is the daughter of Wilbun Atkins Dendy and Maude Odell Chatham. Wilburn's parents were James Thomas Dendy and Mazie Ophie Gunn. My grandmother's (Maude Odell Chatham) parents were Marcus Lafayette Chatham and Angelina Shellnut. Any additional information would be much appreciated.
