"BTW my great grandfather was James Andrew Denman, William's son by Elizabeth Whiteman."
I'm having trouble linking James Andrew Denman to William Isaac Denman Sr.I have
William Isaac (Phyllis G.) Denman, Jr.
b. 1911
d.?
m.?
I think his father was
William Isaac (Jennie C. (Painter)) Denman, Sr.
b. 11 Feb 1887
d. 19 Jan 1975
It would be great to tie his father to:
James Andrew (Cordelia Ellen (Yost)) Denman
But I can't find anything solid to tie him to anyoneI find plenty tying the two William I. Denmans together including some really neat U.S. City Directories, 1821-1989 stuff that has then one line item after the other.I eaven found a WWI draft card for the elder of the two William Denmans which was nifty but not much beyond that.I'm not sure but I think that there may be a tie from James Andrew Denman to William I Denman to John Denman to Christopher Denman who fought in the Revolutionary War.Any connection at this point though would be sloppy at best until I can get some more solid information.Stuck :(
Phyllis G. is a TOTAL mystery so . . . Stuck :( there as well.
Why oh why can't I get my tree to grow?!?
Is "Denman-Frisinger and allied families: Early Ohio pioneers by Betty Pond Snyder" of any use?I found that it has a reference to the elder William I Denman b. 1887.I found the authors address: Betty Snyder, Villa Valencia No. A403, 24552 Paseo de Valencia, Laguna Hills, CA 92653-7285 and am tempted to write and ask how I can receive a copy but it would be nice to know if it is worthwhile.
