I am the great great grand daughter of Heber Denty, the timber merchant of Bristol who is buried in Arnos Vale Cemetary. My grandmother was Amy Elizabeth Denty and came to the U.S. in 1909 on the Lusitania. She was the daughter of Edwin and Emily Ann Denty- they had five or six children but both Edwin and Emily died when most of their children were still minors. All were farmed out to maiden aunts or other people who would take them in. I have birth and death certificates, and many other artifacts that substantiate all of my findings.
About four of Edwin and Emily's children made it over the pond to the US. The descendants are still here and some of us are in touch with each other. Lovely!! Always room for more too!!
