Sara De Nyse and Teunis Nyssen DeNyse
Sara De Nyse and Teunis Nyssen DeNyse were both my direct ancestors.
I wonder if they were related in some way.
I dont know how Sara De Nyse got to America or whether she came alone or with her parents.
Sara De Nyse b England, ubknown date d Albany, NY was married in 19 April, 1650 to Teunis Jacobszen Van Woert, b Schoenderwoert, Zuid-Holland abt 1624 d Albany, NY aft 1665
The church record of their marriage in the Reform Dutch Church only gives her name as Sara De Nyse and her birth place or the place she was from as England. (and not necessarily her birthplace)and that she was a spinster

I KNOW ITS A STRETCH BUT
I have often wondered if Sara De Nyse had a family connection to Teunis Nyssen DeNyse since they lived about the same time and they may have had the same father or they may have been cousins or umcle and niece.
Of his immediate family, only Teunis seems to have come to America. He arrived about 1638.
