What’s the difference between the three, I ask you? *L*
Getting answers from history sometimes gives you a needle in a haystack. We have several! :)
Started off with the name Pasquale in the north of Italy around the Udine area.Father was Benito Pasquale.Grandfather was Amadeo Pasquale. However, in one set of documents, there was a “de/di” in another set of papers. He married Evanderia Bertossi and there were a few children, one of them we know as Ada, the other Roberto, another died in WW2 and another was a POW in the UK.No information found about the wife in parish/tax/residential records in that area.We have currently applied to the commune to furnish us with records but don't expect any answers from them during this century.
Next needle was records found in Sicily with the grandfather’s name on them, suggesting he migrated from Sicily to Friuli.Further searching found a host of Di’s and DePasquales but no Pasquales.
As we are not residents of Italy and do not speak Italian, our searches can only go so far.If you have any other methods that you found worked for you, I’d be most interested to hear them.
