The December 2007 issue of ANTIQUES magazine on page 91 displays a portrait of the family of Elias Hasket Derby, Jr.(1766-1826) in the parlor of the Derby mansion in Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1808. Included in the family portrait are Elias, his wife Lucy Brown Derby (1771-1829) and their surviving children, twins Elias (1803-1880)and Lucy (b. 1803), John (b. 1805), and Harriet (b.1807).
This fine portrait should be made known to the Derby and Brown families. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the families ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by them. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and artistic value.

If it were a portrait of a Pease family member, I'd certainly hope someone would do the same for me.
