My gg grandfather Jacob Dersham (his father was Jacob Dersham married to Barbara Smith) was born 1815, married to Eve Reed and one of their son's was named John - born about 1842, but died at Point of Rocks, VA during the Civil War. John had a sister named Eve born 1852 and married to John Guyer.
Jacob and Barbara (Smith) Dersham had a son Jacob born about 1786 in Buck's county. (This Jacob did indeed have a sister named Eve - born 1790 and married to Samuel Bennage). That's all the info I have on him.Jacob & Barbara are buried at St Peter's Church Cemetery at White Deer, Union Co., PA.Jacob and 2 brothers - Christian and Ludwig - fought in the Revolutionary War.Jacob was a member of the 1st Battalion, Northampton County Militia.I have a copy of Jacob's will probated at the Union County courthouse on Dec 23, 1842.If you want a copy, let me know and send me your address.
Ludwig - mentioned above - had no children.Christian - I do not have the info at hand, but I know he moved to Ohio.
I hope I have not totally confused you.As I've stated in another post, the names are used over and over and get really confusing.
