The obvious place the two names St. Cyr and Deshaies historically appear together is in Fecamp outside of Dieppe and Rouen......
b. 1624 Alexandre St. Cyr of Fecamp
marries
b. 1621 Anne Deshaies of Fecamp.........
The Deshaie name is quite strong in this region......with a long history
St. Syre less so:......being a geographical location
Saint Syre was a local parish/village.......
Fecamp was an original home to the family and relatives of William the Conqueror........and was of no importance prior to that.
After that: it was home and refuge to all the biggest names of Normandy.
It's closeness to both Rouen and Dieppe: prime recruiting sites for both emigrants and soldiers to New France.......means we find many New France settlers from this region.
Hope this helps!
