Mary Jane Turley was born April,1855, near Sherman, Grayson Co., Texas being the daughter of William McClellan Turley and "Louisa" E.M. DeShane/Turley. Mary Jane Turley married George Washington Wingo on August 20, 1871 Newton Co., Missouri, she died in the spring of 1932 near Grant, Oklahoma. Nov. 26, 1850; m'd Mollie Turney, of the Indian Nation. "Mollie Turney" was a misprint on the part of Paxton, it should have been "Mary or Mollie Turley". Special Note: John Wingo & Melissa Jacks/Wingo were George Washington Wingo parents, Thomas Jacks was Geo. W. Wingo grandfather. John Wingo had come to what is now Platte Co., Missouri from the Appalachian Mountains of Tazewell Co., Virgina in 1837 being 1/2 blood Cherokee and part of the forced removal of the Cherokee's from Virginia.
