Isaac's father was Benjamin5(Timothy4,Jeremiah3,Jonathan2,William1)Deuel, probably born in Bristol Co. RI or Dartmouth, MA ca1740, died in Cambridge, Washington Co. 25 Feb. 1825. He reportedly had four wives. He moved to Washington Co. after failing in business in Dutchess and cleared land and made a farm there. Isaac6 moved to Susquehanna Co. PA and then to Sterling, Cayuga Co. NY where he and his wife are buried.
Through his mother, Lydia Mosher, Benjamin5 Deuel was a descendant of the Mayflower passengers John Cooke, Francis Cooke and Richard Warren (see Ralph V. Wood, Jr.'s "Mayflower Passengers Through Five Generations" vol. 12 [Francis Cooke] p. 357, where his father is referred to as Timothy Davol, which is the spelling they used in MA).
For his line back, you can refer to www.cindydeuel.com (click on "Cindy's ancestry" and look at "The Hyatt Report," where Benjamin5 is #98). Also, if you do a google search for "Silas Deuel Metomen" you will find biographies of 1800s residents of Metomen, Fond du Lac, WI and the article on Silas Deuel, a grandson of Benjamin, contains much information including Benjamin's residence in Washington Co.
