I am interested in the history of the family. I have a book by colonel (can't remember the name and not at home now) that oulines the family. My grandfather was George Epworth (sp?) Devendorf. He and his wife, Adelaine Spinetti had six children: George, Corrina (Later Vermilye), Andres, John, my father Donald and Alfred. George Epworth grew up in Ohio, met and marrried Adelaine while at Citibank in Caracas, Venezuela. Made himself into a millionaire by fixing up old places on East Hampton and selling them at a considerable profit when it bacame 'the place' to be in the summertime. He also owned a utility company named Pachaug Lighting and sold out to LILCO and lived comfortably the remainder of his life. The surviving children are: Andres, DOnaled and Alfred. The grandchildren are; from Corrina through adoption, Jamie and Jeanine Vermilye, from John: John Jr., Andre and Marcia. From Donald: Donald Jr. George Douglas (I use Douglas) and William. From Alfred, George III and Diana. Maybe thsi helps someone, I hope so. I can be contacted at 860-558-6117 most evenings or email@example.com. Good luck and a happy, joyous life to all the family.
