You have no idea how surprised and pleased I am to see that you received my email! I thought I was probably sending this to an old email address or that you weren't responding to old queries. Thank you so much. I've started a family tree on Ancestry.com which includes the Devlins as well as my children's families, the Culpeppers and the Merritts. I'd like to send an invitation to you so that you can view it and contribute if you'd like. I'd definitely like to include you and your family because, after all, you're family!
What I loved about your initial email was the storyline about the family--Harry and his fiddle, Anna and her boarding house. I'd love to know more about those kinds of things. And photos if you have any. I've started posting as many as possible and will continue to post more as I get them and/or scan what I have currently. My mother, Beatrice Johnson Devlin (wife of Thomas Bernard, Jr) was a photographer and reporter so those details of family history are intriguing to me as well. I'm especially excited about the photo of the family you mentioned might be in a North Dakota museum. Do you know if it's still there? Do you have family photos yourself that you or your other family members could share? I'd love to learn more about you and your family. How old are you, are you married, do you have children, occupation, health, pet peeves even! Anything at all. Can you tell I'm a little excited? I've gone from knowing virtually nothing about the Devlins and the Johnsons to finding people everywhere. I don't feel like an orphan anymore!
I'm sending an invitation to the email address that is provided on this forum: email@example.com. Let me know if this has changed.
