I was interested in your reply to Terry Gregory's message. My great grandfather was Arthur Devlin who may have been the Arthur Devlin you describe as having "stayed in Ireland".While I have no information about his brothers or sisters, I do know that he had four daughters named Alice,Kate,Roseanne (born Jan.1872),Mary(born Dec.1867)and Bridget(born Nov.1877)and one son,Peter(born Jan.1867).Bridget remained in Ireland and married John Brogan in Jan.1902-Bridget and John were my grandparents. They lived at least part of their married lives at Glenlark, Co.Tyrone.Glenlark is not a town or even a village-it is a townland. According to my information(most of which is from my mother's memory),Roseanne "died young"-whether in Ireland or elsewhere,I don't know-while Alice,Kate, Mary and Peter emigrated to America (I can not be any more precise than this).Should you be interested,I could give you some additional information on those who went to America. I acknowledge that all of these are of one generation later than your Rose Devlin. However, it would appear that the similarities in the christian names are too great to be explained by coincidence. I would be very interested in any additional information you may have about your Rose Devlin if you consider there is a connection. Thank you, Pat Daly.
