The lady who presented the bible is most likely the second wife of Ezekiel DEVOL [b. 3 Oct. 1869 Waterford, Ohio and d. 15 Sept 1869 Bristol Twp. Morgan Co. OH], Sarah Orinda [CUDDINGTON] [DUTTON] DEVOL.
Sarah Orinda CUDDINGTON was b. in Ohio 1 June 1817, daughter of Zachariah and Theodocia [FULLER] CUDDINGTON.
She was the widow of Jacob DUTTON whom she had married, in Morgan Co., on 25 May 1842.
Sarah remarried to Ezekial DEVOL 10 Oct 1862 [by Rev. J. Q. A. MILLER]. [This is a bit confused in my source as the cited reference is The Morgan County Herald, McConnelsville, Ohio, Friday 29 Aug. 1862, p.3 Vol. D #366
In 1875 Sarah resided in the sw corner Sect. 26, Bloom Twp., Morgan Co. OH [again confused in my source which also states Lebanon Indiana].
She was a sister of Mrs. Loren DEVOL. [see below]
Sarah died 26 Oct. 1886 and is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bristol Twp., Morgan Co. OH
Lucinda [CUDDINGTON] DEVOL [b. 29 Oct. 1821, Rose Hill, Morgan Co. OH d. 7 Nov. 1881 Bloom Twp. Morgan Co. OH]
She was a daughter of Zachariah and Theodocia [FULLER] CUDDINGTON [1792-1874] [It's unclear if these dates apply to Zach or Theo] who came from Vermont to Morgan Co. in 1815.
She married Loren M. DEVOL [b. 8 Aug 1820 Union Twp. Washington Co OH d. 27 Aug. 1907, Zanesville, Ohio] on 29 Feb 1844 [Vol. 3 p. 121]. Loren was a cousin of Ezekiel DEVOL.
Loren M. DEVOL served as a Sergeant in Company C 122 Ohio Vol. Inf., color bearer, from 16 Aug 1862 to 6 July 1865.
Loren and Lucinda moved to Bloom Twp. from Bristol Twp. abt. 1875. He was a prominent farmer with a brick house and 162 acre farm 5 miles west of McConnelsville.
Both are buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bristol Twp., Morgan Co. OH.
