Her birth would match up pretty well with Nancy Devol born in Tiverton, RI 7 March 1787 per IGI. Her parents were Elijah5(Jonathan4-2, William1) Devol and Judith5(Eliphalet4,Thomas3,Jonathan2,Thomas1) Davenport. Both were born in Little Compton, RI (my hometown) which borders Tiverton to the south, and were married in LC 12 Oct. 1777. I am a descendant of Judith's sister Hannah (Davenport) Wood.
They would have lived not too far away from the Old Stone Baptist Church, which is still around, on the Tiverton/Little Compton border. If Ephraim was a "divinity student" he may have been connected with my alma mater, Brown University in Providence, RI which was founded in 1763 as a school for Baptist ministers.
Most of the MA/RI Devols at the time, as well as their Deuel/Duel/Dewell cousins in NY, were Quakers. But the progenitor of the family, William1 Devol, was baptized in 1645 Rehoboth, MA (now East Providence, RI) by Rev. John Clarke, who founded the first Baptist church in America in Newport, RI (this is usually credited to RI founder Roger Williams, but Williams was not a true Baptist until later) and Rev. Obediah Holmes, who is an ancestor of Elijah5 Devol as well as Abraham Lincoln. William Devol moved to Newport ca1653 and around 1670 was involved in the schism that created the first Seventh Day Baptist church in America.
