St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, March 26, 1925. Local Happenings. Clark Dewey, straight as an arrow and tall as a pine, was a St. Charles visitor Tuesday. He came to Geneva to attend the funeral of his stepfather, A.R. Dow of Geneva. Clark, who was a buddy of Louis Rockwell, Dee Thatcher and others here who enlisted with the 2nd Engineers is still with the army, at Camp Humphreys near Washington D.C. He married about eight months ago. His father, John Dewey, was the owner of the St. Charles Chronicle before it came into the Hall-Paschal family. Mr. Dewey died about 1900.
