I have found a little more information using census records since I last posted many months ago.
I'm looking for any information on William Henery Loomis and Marguerite Louise DeWolfe. Here is what I have now:
Marguerite was born 2/2/1858, probably in Dearborn, Wayne Co, MI. and died 2/13/1935. Cemetery records show her father as John DeWolf.
William Henry Loomis was born 12/1858, probably in WI. or MI, and died in 1922. They are both buried in the Zion Cemetery in Dayton, Montgomery Co, Ohio.
William & Marguerite had 4 children: Charles b. 4/8/1884, d. 6/23/1946, m. Leila Ella Magill Gertrude b. 7/25/1887, d. 10/26/1963, m. George Wilson Wymer Grace b. 7/12/1890, d. 2/11/1959, m. William E. Hager Marvin b. 2/1892, d. 3/19/1951, m. Sarah Hanger
These children were all born in Dearborn, Wayne Co, MI. The family moved to Dayton, Montgomery Co, OH. sometime between 1892 & 1911.
I'm having trouble finding any information on William's parents or siblings. I did find William and Maggie living with all four children in the 1900 census for Montgomery Co, City of Dayton, Ohio. ( Suprevisor's District No. 2, Enumeration Disttrict No. 83, Sheet 17). Maggie's (Marguerite) mother was also living with them and is listed as Martha Wolf, b. 6/1831 and that she had 8 children of which 2 were still living. This census also shows that William and Maggie had 5 children of which 4 were still living. The census has William born in WI, and Maggie born in NY.
I aslo found a William H. Loomis, age 22 and his mother Martha Loomis, age 65, living with the Henry G. Helger family in the 1880 census. (Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co, Ohio. Supervisor's District No. 3, Enumeration District No. 87, Page No. 1.
This looks to be right with the names, ages and birth place of WI, for William.
I hope this sounds familiar to someone and they could help me out with William and Marguerite's (Maggie) parents.
