D'heid Gau-Algesheim, DEU (near Bingen) to Wisconsin
Hi - Does anybody have info on this family line?
Michael Dickersheid, among other spellings, b. 1815 came to Wis in 1849, settling in Manitowoc County, Wis. & md Theresia Pankratz in 1857. Don't know if he had been married before that.
His brother Joannes Dickensheid (b. 1808) md Margaretha Seibert in Gau-Algesheim. They had a few children there who all died very young.
Joannes & Margaretha came to Wisconsin/Manitowoc County in late 1853.Then I cannot find anything more on him.
Margaretha remarried in late 1856 to Melchoir Kleinenbroich; they had a few children. The 1870 census lists a daughter, Anna, 17, which was before their marriage. Anna was likely Margaretha's daughter from her marriage to Joannes tho the census lists her as the daughter of Margaretha & Melchior. (Kleinenbroich is spelled a variety of ways also.)
There's a record of an Anna Mary Dickensheid marrying Joseph Muller in 1872 in nearby Kewaunee County. Don't know if this is the same Anna?
Or if she was the daughter of Michael D. from an unknown earlier marriage?
I'm curious to know what happened to Joannes, if Anna Mary was his daughter, and if so, if she has descendants?
I'm also working on the family line.My earliest is Joannis Dickescheid, md to Barbara Lenzin, both born bef 1786, md in 1801 in Gau-Algesheim & had at least 7 children.
Would enjoy knowing if anybody has any info on anyone in this family, or has earlier info than I have found!
Thanks - and best of luck in your researches!
