From the booklet "Historic Towns of Washington County (PA) is the following from the section on Blaine & Buffalo Twps.:
"The Dickey House (pictured) on plot 24 of the original plan, from a tract of land called Beaver....1788.......In 1865 sold to William McHugh.Ellen McHugh, Williams daughter, married G.W. Dickey and near 1890 the property passed to G.W. and Ellen Dickey.It was during this time G.W. Dickey used the west wing of the house as a store, calling it 'G.W. Dickey - Fancy Groceries.'On January 25, 1924, the property was sold to William G. Dickey, G.W. Dickey's son.William G. Dickey conveyed the property to his son Willis G. Dickey and his wife Ruth on November 8, 1963.The property, which had been in the same family since May 1, 1865, a period of 107 years, was sold to the Crawfords on June 12, 1972."(it is in Blaine Township.)
