MALICHI Dicus was born about 1825 in Tennessee, possibly Wayne County. He was a son of Oze and Ferebia Dycus and a grandson of Michael Elijah Dycus.
Malichi married Elizabeth Nunley about 1856 in Tennessee. They had at least three known children: 1. Tennessee Dicus born about 1857 in Wayne County Tn. 2. Mary Ann or "Mollie" A. Dicus born 8 July 1861 in Wayne County Tennessee. 3. Malichi Dicus born 15 November 1866 in Wayne County Tn.
The family moved to Bosque County Texas prior to 1880 and were enumerated on the 1880 census. Apparently the daughter, Tennessee Dicus, died young. The son Malichi Dicus died 8 March 1885 in Bosque County Texas and was buried in the Brazos Point Cemetery. "Mollie" was apprently the only surviving heir of Malichi and Elizabeth Dicus. "Mollie" married Lee C. Barrow in Bosque County Texas 6 July 1879. Lee Barrow disappears from the records after 1901 and may have died. "Mollie" married her second husband, a widower named John T. Price in the early 1920's. "Mollie" died 14 February 1949 at Glen Rose, Somervell County Texas and was buried at the Brazos Point Cemetery in Bosque County Texas. Her grave is unmarked and now lost. I have been unable to determine when and where Malichi and Elizabeth (Nunley) Dicus died. Can any one help me on this?
