Just following up on my previous posts as I continue the search...
I finally found the family for J. Adolphe Didier on the 1901 Quebec Census District QU Montreal (City) #177 Subdistrict Saint-Louis Ward- there was a transcription error misspelling the name as Didiar, however I am 100% certain these are my folks.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who is connected to this family:
Head:Pierre Didier born Dec 18, 1850 in France (a carpenter-joiner) (Canadian Immigrant Records show that he immigrated to Canada in 1862)
Spouse:Mathilde born in Quebec Oct 15, 1847
Daughter: Marie Louise born in Quebec October 25, 1874
Son: Remi (or Rene) born in Quebec Dec 5, 1880 (he is also on the Maisonneuve Montreal 1911 census with wife Mary born July 1883 and daughter Lillian born Nov 1905 and son Ovalia known later as Tony born July 1907) note: this Tony Didier later married Norah and had a son named Louis Maurice Didier born 1931 who attended University in Illinois and also South Carolina)
Son: J. Adolphe born in French-Canada Feb 18, 1883 (on 1909 border records going to Illinois to work as a cook and on the 1910 census in Illinois boarding with fellow boarders Oscar and Archie Seguin from Quebec- Adolphe returned to Canada by 1915 to marry Ernestine Seguin in Montreal)
Son:Pierre born August 9, 1886 (only child still with parents on the 1911 Census in St Louis Ward Montreal)
Son:Victor born Nov 10, 1887
Daughter: Rose A. born July 3, 1888
