Need Help Researching My Family

My grandfather was John Dieckman who was born in Pensacola, Florida in I think 893.I recall that his father moved to Pensacola from Baltimore, I think, where I'm told he was an innkeeper.

That's about all I know of that side of my family.Any help in finding out more about "my" Dieckman's would be appreciated.
