Sherm - I tend to agree with you....Catharina DIEHM does seem to be too old to be a sister to Christopher.I have them listed as siblings,but have noted that she is 40 years older than he is.Her obit says that she came with her parents in 1833.I haven't done much research in Columbiana County, Ohio.I wonder if her parents naturalization papers are there?Maybe they bought land there.Deeds sometines mention where the person was from previously.I have a YEAGLEY family that "moved through" that county too. Would love to take a trip and do some research.
I've been in contact with Bev SHANK, of Avilla, on the DIEHM history she is compiling.I found what I believe to be the marriage record of Christopher in the IGI online and she seemed to think that was the missing piece to her puzzle with the WEIMER line.I haven't done much with linking into the WEIMER line too far.Here's what I found. It seems to be actual church records and not patron submitted information.This makes it a higher quality piece of evidence.:
