I am interested in this Herman Diers.Perhaps he was a descendant of Gustave or Fred Diers (brothers, sons of William A. and Rosa Diers of Natchez, Adams County, MS).I know that these brothers married Sadie and Annie Gower (sisters, daughters of Emily Briggs and Samuel HERMAN Gower) in Mississippi.Emily Briggs Gower was the sister of my gr-grandmother, Serena Briggs Nichols Adams.Aunt Emily lived in Washington, D.C. during the 1920's and is buried in Washington County, Maryland, as is her husband (who I believe was called Herman rather than Samuel).
I do not have specific proof that either of the Diers brothers had a son named Herman, but it is a possibility.I know that Gustave and Sadie had a son named William Augustus Diers who was born around 1903 and a daughter named Madeline born about 1899.Could Herman H. Diers be a son of William Augustus Diers?I'm trying to find out more about Aunt Emily's family.......
