In the 1920 US census I found only Viola with Doran, still single, and a daughter - maybe Leona? M. single, 21 and born in Illinois. It lists Viola as a widow so Emil passed between 1910 and 1920. Their address was 409 Broadway in District 154, Baraboo Ward 1, Sauk County, Wisconsin. Viola was a seamstress and Doran a brakeman for the railroad. I could not tell what Leona did.
The 1930 US census puts Doran living at 415 Broadway in District 2, Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin and married to 34 year old Della for 6 years. She was born in Wisconsin as were her parents. Their son Doran Jr. was 1 5/12 years old and born in Wisconsin. Doran Sr. was a brakeman for Steamer Rail Road.
I show a Doran Arthur Dieter, b. Jan 3, 1894 in Illinois, on Roll 1682693 of the WW I Registration cards from 1917-1918. He was living in the 2nd Precinct in Wausica County, Minnesota. It states he was a natural citizen born in Chicago and working as a freight brakeman for a railroad company privately owned in Minnesota. He was single, of medium build, brown eyes and dark brown hair.
I found Doran Jr. b. Oct 28, 1928 and d. Aug 18, 1995. His social security number was 391-22-1410 and was issued in Wisconsin before 1951. His last known residence was 95616 Davis in Yolo, California
In the 1880 US census in Oak Grove, Dodge County, Wisconsin I found Emil at age 13 (b. abt 1867 in Wisconsin)living with Wilhelm and Christine, both born in Baden. No address was listed. They are on Page 17, enumeration district 21, lines 11-14. Wilhelm is 37 and employed as a boot and shoe maker. Christine is 35 and a homemaker. Two sons are listed- Emil and Arthur who is 7 and born in Wisconsin. Wilhelm and Christine's parents are all listed as having been born in Baden as well.
That's what I have. I hope this helped! If you are looking for something more specific please let me know. I still have not been able to link Wilhelm to my Dieters though.
