This is almost too stupid to even write you about.
I've been trying to trace back my family, and dead end with a Walter Miller b. 1885.I've been pumping my grandmother for anything she can remember about her in-laws, which turns out to be nothing.
Yesterday she called me and said "You know, I can remember I used to correspond with someone called "E. Diffenderfer" of Allensville PA."
But she can only remember that this person was somehow connected to her in-laws... not if it was ONE of them. For all I know, it might be a family friend.
BUT, I've got to process every lead. You were the only person who mentioned Allensville specifically, so I'm buzzing you to see if you happen to have an E. Diffenderfer in your family (who would have HAD to have lived past 1940 for certain) who may have been married into the Miller family.
I know it's silly... but you don't know how long I've been trying to chase down ANY break on my Miller line. This incredibly long shot is about as good as any other I currently have.
