I am starting from "scratch" on my DILKS family!! About 18 years ago a 3 rd cousin gave me family group sheets on the DILKS family, well I was new at genealogy and assumed her data was correct! well here I am 18 years later and thought I would work some more on my DILKS lines, so dusted off the "dust bunnies" from the binder and went to work.I started with the 1850 census and found out a lot of her info was incorrect as I work my way up through the census I am finding more and more mistakes and wrong names. So I can use some documented help!!!! I start with Ananias DILKS b. abt.1784 NJ d. before the July 27, 1860 census(have a death date of July 29, 1855, undocumented) married Mary WOODWARD, daughter of Henry & Susana (FOREMAN) WOODROW on Jan 30, 1810 Ancestry does not have the census for NJ for 1810, 1820, and I can not find an Ananias DILKS in NJ in the 1830 cenus. the 1840 census lower Penns Neck Twp, Salem co., NJ 5-10 m 1, 50-60 m 1, 40-50 f 1 the 1850 has only one child @ home, Isaac age 19 from my cousins group sheets, she has the children for Ananias & Mary as John DILKS June 1813-Aug 21, 1813 William Frank DILKS July 2, 1824 Greenwich, Cumberland Co Job DILKS 1826-? Isaac C. DILKS July 1830 Greenwich, Cumberland Co - Sept. 8, 1888 buried greenwich Baptist Church.
