I have just found my Coffman family and they have a few Dingler, names in it. Here is a short piece about them. Hope it will help.
In 1804 Amos Coffman who was not a son of Jacob and Mary left Kentucky and went to Elbert County, Georgia. He married Sarah Dingler, daughter of Johannes and Nancy Paschall Dingler. They lived in Morgan County then Jasper County before moving to Giles County, Tennessee in about 1828. Amos sold his farm to his oldest son, John Coffman, who married Orry Willson daughter of Rev. James Willson and Peggy Green. In the early 1830's John and his family moved to Troup County, Georgia and was soon joined by Amos and Sarah Coffman and the rest of John's brothers and sisters. About `1850 they all moved to Tallapoosa County, Alabama where Amos and Sarah died.
