Jacob Dixon was the husband of Agnes (Aggie) Pettypool. Aggie was the daughter John and Sarah Sanford Pettypool of Aaron's Creek, Granville Co., NC.

Agnes Pettypool Dixon married Jacob Dixon and had children Sanford, John, Jacob, Margaret Humphreys and William. Estate inventory records state "We allott unto the heirs of Aggy Dixon deceased (wife of Jacob Dixon)" which clears up any confusion due to the deed transcription above. John Dixon's legacy was confiscated by the Sheriff to settle debts in 1807. William Dixon's land passed on to his daughter, Martha, named in Granville County land records (147).
