These are my ancestors but you have all the information confused here.
First, John Dixon is the proven son of my 9th great grandfather Walter Dixon, Sr. of Pitt County, North Carolina. This is well documented by the will left by Walter Dixon which I located at East Carolina University, Joyner Library, Special Manuscript Collection, Boyd Family Papers, collection number 253.1.
What you have posted is misinformation that has been posted all over ancestry.com by some people who have taken my research work and combined it with others who have made assumptions. I encourage you to be careful...
Second, Elijah Dixon is not the son of John and Sara. His name is also not Draper Elijah or Elijah Draper Dixon. These are two seperate individuals.
Third, John Dixon, was not born in 1705. That is not possible when his father Walter Dixon, Sr. was born between 1685-1695.
Fourth: I have a extensive file of documentation on this family and can prove my line forwards and backwards.
Fifth: Elijah Dixon is my direct line 4th great grandfather. I have all land deeds, both wills of he and his wife. By the way, the name of his wife is not Elizabeth Mixon. I also have a copy of his family bible record, and much more on Elijah and his family.
If you are a distant Dixon cousin I am more than happy to help you. However, what you have posted regarding this post is not even close to accurate. Just for the record, a lot of the information found on ancestry.com for Walter Dixon, Sr. and his son John Dixon, is not accurate. For example, Walter Dixon, Sr. of Pitt County, NC never lived in Bloomfield, New York nor did he live in Canada as many have on their genealogy reports posted in ancestry.com.
