Although your John Dmochowski is not in my ancestral tree, we may have a common ancestor a little further back in time. My great Grandmother Anna Dmochowski may have been born in the same area as John.
I found a John Dmochowski in Farrell Township, Pennsylvania in the 1920 census plus a passenger record for Jan Dmochowski who arrived in 1909 with his final destination as Sharon, Pennsylvania.
The passenger manifest lists Jan’s birth place as Dmochi Wypychy, Russia and that he left his father in Dmochi Wypichy, Lomza, Russia.
I found Dmochi Wypychy southwest of Bialystokand a few miles north and east of Czyzew. The area is also directly south of Zambrow Miastro. A modern map will show Dmochy Wypychy along the railroad linethat also runs through Czyzew-Osada.
My great grandmotherlived near Dmochy Kudly which is a small village north of Czyzew Osada and near Dmochy Mrozy and is bout 5 miles from Dmochi Wypychy. I’m not sure in what village she was born but it had to be in the Dmochy district.
If you want to search further, the baptismal records for these villages should be in the parish church in Czyzew and vital records if they exist would be in the regional archive in Lomza.
